Students make valuable contacts at the 2006 Nurses Now Fair
|
The SDSU Nurses Now program was established in 2000 as a community partnership to address the nursing shortage in San Diego. The partnership calls upon local hospitals to support the School so that we can expand the number of nursing students admitted to the undergraduate program.
This financial support, totaling several million dollars, has enabled us to significantly boost enrollment since the beginning of Nurses Now. We are proud that students earn among the highest pass rates in the state on the NCLEX exam for RN licensure.
The Nurses Now initiative is now in its third phase and includes the following member hospitals: Children's Hospital and Health Center, Kaiser Permanente, Scripps Health, Sharp Healthcare, Tri-City Medical Center, UCSD Medical Center and VA San Diego Health Systems.
