Announcement - New Graduate Programs

  • Master of Science (MS) in Nursing
    Concentration: Nursing Education
    Specialty Areas: Adult Health, Maternal-Newborn and Nursing Services Administration

    We are pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for our new Nursing Education Program beginning Fall 2007. Students may choose among three specialty areas: adult health, maternal-newborn or nursing service administration.

  • Nursing Education Certificate

    The School of Nursing is now offering a 12-unit Advanced Certificate in Nursing Education. This program prepares nurses holding master's degrees in nursing for the educator role in academic or clinical settings.

    Master of Science (MS) in Nursing
    Concentration: Advanced Practice Nursing of Adults and Elderly
    Specialization: Adult Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)-Nurse Educator (NE)

    The School of Nursing is seeking approval to offer an Adult Acute/Critical Care CNS-NE graduate program.

    Master of Science (MS) in Nursing
    Concentration: Community Health Nursing
    Specialization:
    1) Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner (WHCNP)
    2) Nurse-Midwifery
    3) Nurse-Midwifery/WHCNP

    Currently we offer a nurse-Midwifery/OB-BYN Nurse Practitioner program and will continue to do so. The name of this program will change to Nurse-Midwifery/WHCNP.

    For those who don't want the combined midwifery and WHCNP program we are also seeking approval to offer separate midwifery and WHCNP Curriculum plans.
