Biography: Worked in the area of Pediatric Nursing for 8 years before joining the United States Navy and serving for 21 years as a Nurse Corps Officer. Filled a variety of nursing roles both inpatient Medical Surgical nursing and outpatient Primary Care Clinic. Taught the basic nursing curriculum for Hospital Corpsman 'A' school and coordinated hospital based Staff education programs. Ultimately, serving as the Day Supervisor at Naval Medical Center San Diego before coming to San Diego State University as faculty for the School of Nursing.
