Biography: Beth Palmer has been a registered nurse for 30 years. During her nursing career, she has worked in medical surgical, post-anesthesia care, and primarily in critical care nursing. She is both an acute care clinical nurse specialist and a board-certified adult nurse practitioner. Professor Palmer currently works as clinical nurse specialist on the surgical-telemetry unit at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. She is also a clinical instructor for N300 and a guest lecturer and preceptor for the graduate nursing program at SDSU. She is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice Program at Case Western Reserve University and plans to graduate in January of 2009.
