Scholarly Areas:

Dr. Braid’s areas of research include investigating factors that effect cognitive development in children that were preterm infants. Currently she is using the Early Childhood Longitudinal Survey Birth Cohort to look at the impact home environment, race/ethnicity, and financial assets have on the cognitive development of a national representative preterm infant cohort. Additionally, she is investigating the factors that impact twins.

Biography:

Dr. Braid started her nursing career in a Neonatal ICU nineteen years ago. She completed her neonatal nurse practitioner program and has maintained her clinical practice over the past thirteen years while continuing her education.
