Biography: Sheryl's experience as a RN spans over 20 years, mostly in the critical care arena. She is originally a Diploma graduate from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Rhode Island. She completed her Bachelors degree of Nursing in 1991 from CSU Dominquez Hills and earned a Masters of Science degree from SDSU as a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist in 1996.
She has worked in numerous geographic areas and a wide variety of settings due to her husband’s naval career. Sheryl's roles include bedside nurse, clinical educator, faculty positions, contributor and author for nursing textbooks and item writer for the CCRN exam. Sheryl recently served as an appointed member of the Nominating Committee for the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
Her current role encompasses working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Direct Observation Unit and Academic Educator in the VA Nursing Academy.
