GIVE to the School of Nursing
Will an SDSU nurse be there when you need care?
At the same time that professional nurses are in critically short supply everywhere, economic crises in the State of California are forcing cutbacks in students being admitted into the California State University system. A decline in the education of nurses will have a direct bearing on healthcare in California -- a state with 1/8 of the American population and the second lowest number of nurses per capita in the country.
Private support is absolutely essential in expanding the supply of well-educated nurses and assuring their readiness to take charge in today’s demanding medical environments. SDSU nurses, rigorously trained in critical thinking skills, are needed to lead San Diego healthcare into the next generations: saving lives, building public health and well-being, and bringing compassionate care to those in need.
