Our vision is to inspire clinical excellence through the promotion of evidence-based practice.
Mission Statement
- To foster networks for mutual sharing, innovative thinking and
creative problem-solving to move evidence-based practice initiatives
into clinical realities.
- To test a novel approach to infuse evidence-based practice
through interagency partnerships within a community.
- To promote expertise in evidence-based practice through
workshops and other learning opportunities.
- To disseminate our experiences and our outcomes.
Evidence-Based Practice Institute
To help meet the above goals, the Consortium holds the Evidence-Based Practice Institute (EBPI), a series of six full-day classes over a five month period. The first annual Evidence-Based Practice Institute graduated Oct. 30, 2007 (pictures coming soon).
The Institute prepares teams of staff and advance practice nurses to serve as leaders and mentors in changing and improving nursing care. This change occurs through identifying a nursing care problem, developing a way to solve it, and then incorporating the new knowledge into practice.
