Nursing Education Certificate

The School of Nursing offers a curriculum leading to an advanced certificate in Nursing Education. The 12-unit certificate program prepares nurses holding master's degrees in nursing for the educator role in academic or clinical settings.

Applicants seeking admission to the Advanced Certificate in Nursing Education program must be admitted to the University and be accepted as a classified postbaccalaureate student.

Program Requirements

  • Program Admission Requirements

    1. Current California Registered Nurse license
    2. Master's degree in Nursing

  • Program (12 units)

    Satisfactory completion of the program requires an overall grade point average of 3.0 with individual course grades above 2.0.
