RN to BS
Applying for Admission
The RN-BS Program is offered on two campuses: San Diego and Imperial Valley
Prospective RN-to-BS students must apply to both the School of Nursing RN-to-BS program and to the University. Official transcripts must also be submitted with both applications.
Checklist for Admission: RN-BS Program
- Applying to the School of Nursing RN-to-BS Program
San Diego Campus
- Check the San Diego Campus Program Requirements (pdf) to be sure you have met the application requirements and are eligible to apply.
- Submit the RN-to-BS application (pdf) between October 1-November 30, for admission the following fall. There are no spring admissions.
Imperial Valley Campus
- Check the Imperial Valley Campus Program Requirements (pdf) to be sure you have met the application requirements and are eligible to apply. To determine if you meet the transfer requirements as an upper division transfer student it is highly advised you go to a local community college to have your transcripts analyzed.
- Submit the Imperial Valley Campus RN-to-BS application (pdf) between October 1-February 5, for admission the following fall. There are no spring admissions.

PLEASE NOTE- Course and graduation requirements for all SDSU programs change periodically. Official requirements are always current in the PRINTED university catalogs. An online version of the catalog is available for quick reference only, however current students must always reference the PRINTED catalogs. Copies are available in the bookstore.
