Additional Application Information
- A point system is used to evaluate and rank candidates.
- Prerequisite course work, not completed at SDSU or at local community colleges, may need to be evaluated by the Undergraduate
Admissions Coordinator.
- Because the School of Nursing is an impacted program, enrollment is limited
to a select number of students each semester who best meet the criteria.
It is your responsibility to continue to check the website for any
additions or changes in this information.
- There is no waiting list. Each semester, the best qualified students
are accepted. A point system is used for ranking and evaluating applicants.
- Previous applicants who were not accepted may "rollover" their
application one time by filling out an Application Rollover Form if they wish
to be considered for the next semester. After that, students must reapply
and show proof that they have additional points to strengthen their application.
Successful applicants must meet the requirements.
- Upon admission to the School of Nursing, students must be CPR certified
and complete a background check. Proof of all the above must be brought to
the School of Nursing office. Additionally, students are required to have
a physical examination and take proof of examination and required immunizations
to Student Health Services, not
to the School of Nursing. All of this is required prior to attending
clinical classes.
