$2.5M To SDSU For Elder-Health Training

San Diego State University is the recipient of a $2.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to help create a collaborative center that aims to train the next generation of geriatric health workers.

The funding, part of a $35.7 million Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program, is designed to support SDSU and several partners as they establish the San Diego/Imperial Geriatric Education Center, which will be housed at the university’s Academy for Professional Excellence.
