Scholarly Areas

Dr. Kim’s research focuses on the impact of acculturation, close friendship quality, and personality traits on the mental health problems of ethnic minority adolescents. She also studies predictors of co-occurring substance use in adults (general & Asian American specific) with mental disorders in residential treatment programs, development of a communication course for undergraduate and RN-BSN students, and preschool teachers’ knowledge & attitude about ADHD.
