Apr 7SDSU’s School of Nursing has been named among the top nursing schools in California by NurseJournal. NurseJournal collaborates with nursing professionals to provide information that helps navigate the many different nursing degrees, career paths, and advancement opportunities out there.
Honorary 2021 Homecoming Chair Eva Lozano (’04)
Nov 4In a salute to professionals who have been battling the COVID-19 pandemic over the past 20 months, nurse Eva Lozano (’04) will represent health care alumni as honorary chair of this year’s homecoming celebration. Homecoming committee members selected Lozano for the honor because, they said, her work exemplifies the courage, compassion and dedication displayed by front-line health care personnel whose efforts they want to acknowledge.

In Memoriam: Dr. Dorothy Zirkle
Feb 16The San Diego State University, College of Health and Human Services, and the School of Nursing mourn the recent loss of Dr. Dorothy Zirkle. Dr. Zirkle served as an Instructor for the past eight years. During that time, she served as the concentration chair for the Nursing Leadership in Health Care Systems Master’s program, taught in the RN to BSN program, and led several foreign exchange programs with partner nursing programs in Switzerland.
